Since your stay with us actually starts by leaving home, we have prepared some hints for your journey.

The location.

On the island Varaldsøy to the cottage: From the ferry landing you follow the asphalt main road uphill.. After about 1,5 km you'll find an exit to the left that would take to the Church of Varaldsøy and right to Gjuvsland. Take right towards Gjuvsland. About 1 km further there is a second exit left to Øyerhamn. Hold right uphill. At the third exit Gjuvsland is to the right and straight ahead to Haukanes. Here you go straight ahead along the gravel road towards Haukanes. After about 1,5 – 2 km you'll go through a small community called Fjellgardane. Follow the road to its highest point. From there it goes downhill to the fjord again and Åkre eventually on an asphalt road. Where the asphalt ends you continue 3-400 m on gravel road to our white house on the right of the road (2. door). From there we'll show you the rest of the way..
